FP&A Manager - Capex

The Opportunity

The role of ‘FP&A Manager – Capex’ is the Finance Business Partner of mainly the Asset & Infrastructure Services (AIS) and IT teams focusing on capital expenditure. The role will be the gatekeeper of all capital submissions, provide timely capex reporting, budgeting/forecasting process and analysis on project financial performance. The role will directly support the General Managers and their direct reports with capex related matters and act as a secretary for various Capital Committees and Investment Review Committee (IRC).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the preparation and coordination of COO Capital Committee and IRC.
  • Prepare monthly capex reporting and variance analysis.
  • Lead the preparation and coordination of the annual capital budgeting and 5-year planning process.
  • Provide financial support, review and governance of all capital submissions and project cost control.
  • Lead, inspire and motivate team members to achieve and exceed PN’s vision and goals. Build engagement and passion to deliver and commit to the PN values.
  • Challenge status quo and deliver continuous process improvement.

About You

  • Strong people and senior stakeholder management skills
  • Proven commercial experience and financial acumen
  • Experience in leading budget, forecast and strategy processes
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement through changes to business practices or processes
  • Advanced skills in Excel, TM1 and reporting applications
  • Strong financial understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, working capital, financial / operational systems and financial metrics
  • Project management skills
  • Collaborative approach achieving success with and through others
  • Post-graduate qualifications in Accounting / Finance
