The Opportunity

The Cook Facility is managed by the Terminal Operations Manager Port Augusta SA. This facility is a resting station for our Locomotive Drivers and must be maintained to the required standards to meet expectations. You will live onsite, within a remote location, in a company provided house with all your utility expenses paid.

As a cleaner you will be required to undertake cleaning duties which also include some laundry tasks. You will be required to ensure the correct amount of cleaning equipment is on site and advise the Caretaker of any issue or faults requiring attention. You will work as part of a small group who will be cleaning the facility in Cook, South Australia.

Additionally, this position will work a standard 8-hour shift per day, on a roster of 2 weeks on, 1 week off.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and common areas within the town for our personnel; and
  • Arranging for cleaning materials and goods required for the daily operation of the township.

About You

Skills and attributes required for this role:

  • Some experience in cleaning of a large work site
  • Accustomed to adhering to OHS and onsite safety requirements
  • Exposure to working within remote locations under limited supervision.
  • You must hold a current drivers license
  • Be customer focused and take pride in their work
