The Opportunity

As a member of the Payroll Support Team, the Payroll Support Officer partners with their internal customers to provide accurate and efficient payroll delivery.  Join the team at the Sydney Freight Terminal in Chullora, the Payroll Support Officer is a part of a wider national Payroll Support Team.  They are responsible for the provision and enhancement of time & labour payroll services to Pacific National employees who are employed under our various Enterprise Agreements.

This role will be a typical Monday to Friday position, with candidates required to be flexible to work Public Holidays to ensure payroll deadlines are met.

Key responsibilities include:

  • A clear understanding of employee agreements which will in turn deliver an accurate payroll
  • Auditing of payroll data and fortnightly payroll runs
  • Processing of time, leave and allowance data
  • Management of payroll and other related employee enquiries
  • Reporting to management on payroll information

About You

As an experienced Payroll Officer you will have a solid and demonstrated understanding of Enterprise/Employee Agreements. You will have strong attention to detail which will assist in the minimisation of payroll errors. Candidates who have a background in HR with a strong understanding of Employee Agreements are also strongly encouraged to apply.

You will also have a strong customer focus with an understanding of the internal and external stakeholders for the team. You will be able to be an effective member of Payroll Support working both autonomously and as part of the team. 

Success will be defined by the seamless, efficient and accurate provision of payroll services and support to Pacific National employees, timely query resolution management, demonstrated customer service values within the Finance team and the ability to build effective business partnerships.
