The Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, the Project Finance Analyst will play a key role in the development of financial models that assess the financial feasibility of rail investments and rail haulage contracts. Strong credentials are required in financial modelling and in particular, discounted cash flow analysis including the modelling of upfront capital investments. The Project Finance Analyst will also provide support to the Manager(s) in his/her preparation of investment papers for the Pacific National Board. The role includes the ability to further develop your financial analysis skills that will assist investment decisions within Pacific National. 

About you

The successful candidate will possess the ability to develop collaborative relationships with various stakeholders across the organisation.  You will have a genuine interest in understanding business operations so you can produce a financial model to assist with informed decision making.

Additionally, you will also possess:

  • A tertiary qualification in Finance
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience in financial modelling
  • Experience in project finance, infrastructure finance or property development finance transactions will be looked on favorably
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
