The Opportunity

An opportunity exists within our Asset and Infrastructure Services division, for Wagon Maintainer’s to join the team based at our Nebo Train Support Facility.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carry out scheduled maintenance, inspection work, out of course repairs
  • Mobile field support to the Pacific National wagon fleet
  • Respond to emergency recoveries on the rail network  
  • Ensure on time availability of rolling stock, including the introduction of new wagon and technologies
  • Travel and accommodation from the Nebo base as operationally required

About You

Successful candidates will possess the following essential and desirable skills and attributes:

  • Mechanical aptitude and well developed problem solving skills
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills and good general literacy
  • The ability to work in a shift work environment
  • Experience within the rail industry is desirable
  • MR license and Forklift ticket is desirable
  • A valid QLD C class drivers license is a requirement
