Our response to COVID-19

As Australia’s largest rail freight company, Pacific National has a proud track record of providing essential freight services 24-hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

In unprecedented times such as those we experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic, our industry played a huge role in helping to stabilise the Australian economy, including making sure necessities and raw materials continued to find their way to supermarkets, retail stores, petrol stations, flour mills, manufacturing plants and construction projects.

During this time, Federal and State governments recognised how critical the freight and logistics sector is to the continued supply of goods and commodities and worked with us to ensure our trains continued to support the nation’s supply chains.

COVID-19 Safe Plan

At Pacific National, our highest priority is the safety and wellbeing of our employees, customers and suppliers. We continue to monitor government health advice on COVID-19 and take a risk-based approach to keeping our workforce safe, while allowing for business continuity.
